Benefits Highlights

All full-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the employee benefit plans. For Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, covered dependents include your spouse and children to age 26 even if the children have access to an employer’s plan.

Indiana Wesleyan University makes available three medical plans from which you can choose. By offering three plans, you have the choice in selecting the benefit program that best fits the needs of you and your family.

The group medical program is administered by UMR, a UnitedHealthcare Company.

Dental benefits are provided through Delta Dental. The plan is designed to provide you and your dependent family members with Preventive, Basic and Major dental care.

Delta Dental has two levels of providers - PPO or Premier. You may visit either type of participating provider.

Vision benefits are provided through EyeMed. The plan provides one exam every plan year. When you utilize a network provider, your exam will be covered after a $10 copay. Plastic lenses will be covered after a $25 copay when you utilize a network provider.

Long-Term Disability insurance will be provided to all active, full-time employees at no cost. This important benefit provides you 60% of your monthly Wage Base not to exceed a total maximum benefit of $9,500 per month.

Indiana Wesleyan University pays 100% of the contribution for Basic Life and AD&D. This benefit is twice your annual salary. Maximums do apply. These benefits are insured by OneAmerica.

Employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their dependents as follows:

Employees: You may elect increments of $10,000, to a maximum of $150,000. Cost is dependent on age and the amount of insurance elected.

Spouse: You may elect coverage for your spouse in increments of $5,000. Your spouse’s coverage cannot exceed 50% of the employee’s elected benefit amount. Cost is dependent on age and amount elected.

Children: You may elect coverage for your unmarried, dependent children in the amount of $10,000 until age 18. Between the ages of 19 and 25, children are eligible.

The Flexible Spending Accounts are administered through HrPro.

Employees who do NOT enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan are eligible to participate in the Health Care Reimbursement Account.

All employees are eligible to participate in the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account.
